Fall 2011 - On the Dry

Fall 2011 - Winter lay up and winter maintenance.

Stripping 10 years of anti fouling and re-applying new paint.

Checking out the hull wax and polish...

Well, it looks pretty shiny, another coat in the spring should keep this mirror image going.

Mast is off the boat and going into the shop for a clean up, check up and repaint. She is going to look GORGEOUS in the spring.

Spring 2011 - a new shine

A little elbowgrease by someone affectionately called 'The Moose' took off a gray layer of oxidation and revealed the underlaying shiny red coat of paint.

Mirrorlike sheen on Millennium's Stern

Fire-engine red again.

With such reflection on her hull, I now need to work on the 'brightwork', meaning all the teak which accents the hull in far too many places. But - after all that loving care, the boat looks lovely, and seems to sail faster.

The 'Moose' worked on the hull, whilst the boat was tied up to the dock, and he was laying on his side reaching across the watery gap manhandling a heavy polisher. Beats any gym!

She will look fantastic, tied up to a mooring or sewinging at anchor, when all those fenders are hidden and the whole hull is visible.

The coach house is waxed and free of winter grunge.

Ready to ply the waters of Beautiful British Columbia....
